Athens is a perfect beginning for your tour of Greece. It used to be known more as a jumping off place to visit the Greek Isles, but it really is a terrific blend of modern culture and ancient history and a great place to visit. If you're at all interested in politics and/or history - it's hard to ignore the actual birthplace of democracy. See the Sunset at the Temple of Poseidon
On this tour you'll enjoy the gorgeous sunset at the 5th century BC Temple of Poseidon - taking in its panoramic view of the Aegean sea. (You'll also get to see graffiti left on one of the columns by the English poet Lord Byron in the 1800's). You'll drive along the gorgeous coastline of Attica (known as the Athens Riviera) where the winding road follows the bays and coves - offering stunning views along the way. The drive along this impressive coastline is an experience in and of itself revealing the dramatic landscape thought by the ancient Greeks to be a part of Poseidon's kingdom. Once you reach your destination you'll be rewarded with a terrific sea food dinner before making your way back to your hotel.
Tour of Delphi - the Center of the World
Delphi was once believed to be the center of the world and where Apollo spoke through his oracle. Assuming you're staying in Athens you'll have a gorgeous drive to the archaeological site and museum. After that you'll have a choice of where to go - either to the picturesque seaside village of Galaxidi, the byzantine monastery of Hosios Loukas, OR the traditional settlement of Arachova - it's all up to you. After you've explored the village of your choice you'll have an authentic Greek dinner before heading back to Athens.
Authentic Meals of Athens

You'll visit small stores where the grocers source their food from local Greek farms, and the city's central food market where the locals have their best products from all over the country on display.
